The Tindall Foundation
The Tindall Foundation is a private family foundation that gives to organisations and communities throughout Aotearoa New Zealand by way of donations, training, capacity-building and research, and by partnering with others. Community Foundations of New Zealand is partially funded from the generosity of The Tindall Foundation.
The Tindall Foundation has been generous with its support as it sees community foundations as being crucial to the wellbeing of local communities. Community foundations are one of the fastest growing forms of philanthropy internationally. These place-based foundations simplify philanthropic giving for people wanting to “give where they live”.
Community philanthropy is spreading to other regions of New Zealand, with 14 foundations now in place across the country, in both urban and rural areas.
Community Foundations of New Zealand is working together with The Tindall Foundation to encourage further spread of community foundations across the country. Our aim is for every New Zealander to have access to a local community foundation as a means of supporting local generosity in where they live.
